MODESIGNacademy_PortraitsIndividuels-53-copieJoy is all in the name. On meeting her you are greeted with a big smile, and a constant flow of ideas. Joy is incredibly creative and has a real hands-on approach to work. Her attention to detail is central to furthering her career in Haute Couture.

Currently Joy did and internship in London with Ralph & Russo, the first and only British Haute Couture house to be chosen by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture de Paris. Her role there was as pattern cutter – modelling and making prototypes for clients and the Autumn/Winter Couture collection this July. Then she worked for Celio before beign now a free-lance Designer and Pattern Maker.

With her attention to detail, Joy presents her Jewel project in a very creative, bespoke way, with each design having an individual quality and a beautifully hand-made finish.

To complete her artistic and technical background, and gain management skills, Joy undertook a Master Degree in Fashion and Design Management at MODESIGN Academy. Before this she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and Pattern Making studies at Haute Ecole Francisco Ferrer in Brussels, passing with Distinction.
